00:00The Mapua Cardinals celebrated their successful defeat in the three-decade title drought in NCAA Men's Basketball.

00:09And the winner is Nico Juaez.

00:14The Mapua Cardinals struggled for 33 years before they won the NCAA Men's Basketball.

00:23That's why they insisted, and the Mapua community, to celebrate.

00:27Their family and Mapua alumni were with the whole group at the victory party last night.

00:32They felt the success from being runner-up in Season 99.

00:37Last year, it was painful for us. It's not that easy.

00:40I'm happy because it's the sacrifice of everyone.

00:44Maybe it's our destiny. We just have to do our part, play hard until the last buzzer.

00:50According to Mapua President and CEO, Dr. Doji Maestre Campo,

00:54the championship was perfect for the centenary of the university in January 2025.

00:59It's actually a result of hard work, grit, and really their passion to win.

01:07Some of the players of Mapua were also part of the victory in 1991 or Season 67, their last championship.

01:14This is the sweetest moment. Why?

01:16100 years of Mapua, next year, before the season of the NCAA 100.

01:21That's why it's very timely.

01:23Our motto is, Opens, Win Game, but Defends, Win Championship.

01:29The Season 100 champions, this victory is a tribute to their past players and supporters.

01:35I dedicate this championship to my brothers.
