00:05to Do Next Week across central Lancashire and the Fylde Coast.
00:10First up in Preston, the parish of St Michael's and All Angels in Ashton-on-Ribble is holding
00:16a Christmas tree festival between Thursday December 12th and Sunday December 15th. On
00:22between 11.30am and 4.30pm each day, entry is free and there will be workshops and refreshments
00:29too. The Preston Concert Band are also hosting a Christmas concert on Thursday as part of
00:34the festival, with tickets costing £5.
00:39In Chorley, Chorley Winters Wonderland will return to the town centre on December 14th
00:44and runs daily until January 5th, although it will be closed on Christmas Day. As ever,
00:49there will be the popular Real Ice Rink, as well as festive teepees and children's rides.
00:55The festivities will all be taking place on the Cleveland Street car park across from
00:59Chorley Town Hall. A standard ice rink session is one hour and costs £8 per skater, but
01:06£25 for a family ticket, which is two adults and two children.
01:10Over on the Fylde Coast, the iconic boy band East 17 are performing at the Loughborough
01:17Pavilion Theatre on Tuesday December 10th. Starting at 7.30pm, the support act is Donovan
01:24Blackwood, former member of the funk band Heatwave. Today's East 17 line-up features
01:30original member Terry Coldwell, Joe Livermore since 2019 and former Artful Dodger collaborator
01:37Robbie Craig since 2014. Tickets are still available and cost £28.50.
01:44Nearby, St Anne's Parish Church is hosting a Christmas tree festival between Monday December
01:509th and Saturday December 14th. On between 1.30pm and 4pm each day, this annual festival
01:57will see fabulously decorated trees for charities spread out across the church. There will also
02:03be refreshments, including tea, coffee and mince pies, cake, bottle and craft stalls,
02:08a chocobola, a prize quiz and a grand draw. Admission is free, although donations are
02:15welcome.
02:17Finally, in Blackpool, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang opens at the Blackpool Opera House on
02:21Tuesday December 10th and runs until Sunday December 29th. This brand new production stars
02:28Coyote Ugly star Adam Garcia as Karateka's Potts, Emma Dale's Liam Fox as Grandpa Potts
02:35and drag star The Vivian as The Child Catcher. Off-peak tickets start from £22.95 and peak
