00:00Where do you stand on Laurence Shanklin now,
00:02the January window just around the corner?
00:04To me, it feels a bit bang out of order
00:08to start abusing him, considering Hearts
00:12are where they are in terms of their European football
00:16because of what he did last season.
00:18It's not like he's downed tools.
00:20He's working hard in every game.
00:23He's constantly on the ball.
00:24He's trying to bring other players into the game.
00:26And just for one reason or another,
00:28he just can't find the back of the nets.
00:32And the last thing you need when that's happening
00:34is to have fans getting on your back.
00:36It's so unnecessary and, quite frankly, uncalled for.
00:41But in terms of his future, he's clearly away in the summer.
00:44He's as good as said it.
00:46I don't feel like Hearts will actively try and move him
00:49on in January.
00:49Let's put it like that.
00:50Let's not forget, he's a Scotland international.
00:54So if Hearts were to consider selling him in January,
00:57they could trade off that.
00:59We know he's not going to get back
01:01to the standards of last season.
01:02But he really needs a goal.
01:05Just one will give him that confidence booster, yeah.
01:08Yeah, and it's really a shame to see someone
01:11that clearly cares so much about Hearts
01:15and being Hearts' captain and someone
01:18who's done so much as a player for the club
01:20that we're talking about him in this kind of,
01:23it might be better for all parties
01:25if he just left in January.
