FashionValet founders Datuk Fadzarudin Shah Anuar and Datin Vivy Yusof have claimed trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to a charge of criminal breach of trust involving RM8mil.

Vivy, whose full name is Vivy Sofinas Yusof, and her husband Fadzarudin pleaded not guilty after the charge was read to them before Judge Rosli Ahmad on Thursday (Dec 5).

00:00Fashion Valet founders Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar and Datin Vivi Yusuf pleaded not
00:05guilty on Thursday at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to a criminal breach of trust charge
00:11involving eight million ringgit. The couple were accused of dishonestly transferring eight
00:16million ringgit from Fashion Valet Sendirian Berhad to 30 Maple Sendirian Berhad without
00:21board approval. According to the charge sheet, Vivi and Fadzaruddin were entrusted with investment
00:26funds from Kazana National Berhad and Permodalan National Berhad. The alleged offence took
00:33place at a public bank branch in Bukit Damansara on August 21, 2018. They are jointly charged
00:41under Section 409 and Section 34 of the Penal Code, which carries imprisonment of two to
00:47twenty years, whipping, and a fine if convicted. Deputy Public Prosecutor Datuk Wan Shaharuddin
00:53Wan Ladeen proposed bail between RM100,000 and RM200,000 each, citing the seriousness
01:00of the offence. The prosecution also requested additional bail conditions, including surrendering
01:05their passports to the court due to flight risk concerns and regular reporting to the
01:10Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters. Judge Rosli Ahmad fixed bail at RM100,000
01:18with one surety for each accused and approved the prosecution's additional conditions.
01:23The case is scheduled for mention on January 22 next year.
