00:00Can I just say, how does it feel? This is your moment. World premiere. It's finally here.
00:05Tell me how you're feeling.
00:07I mean, Butterflies doesn't quite cover it. They feel a bit like dragons at this moment
00:11in time, but I'm so proud of this film. I'm proud of all of the work we all put into it,
00:15and the animation is so gorgeous, and I just sort of can't wait to sit down and watch it.
00:20Hera is powerful. She's fierce. She's amazing. What drew you to her? Maybe it's a silly question,
00:25but why did you want to play her?
00:27I think I wanted to play her because she's a character unlike we've ever seen in Lords of the Rings.
00:31You've got powerful female characters in the film in the form of Arwen and Eowyn,
00:35but they're already fully formed women, and I think to see the character arc that she has
00:40from a sort of tearaway child, slightly immature, and for her, obviously, through experiencing
00:47such loss and hardship, to come out the other end, a powerful leader of her people,
00:51I just really wanted to give that a voice. And for younger generations of girls,
00:56hopefully this is their way in.
00:58And it really will do a lot for girls. I'm absolutely no doubt about that.
01:01What about Lord of the Rings fans? What can they expect? Because this is very different.
01:05It's different, but it's the story of Helm Hammerhand. He's in the lore. He's in everything.
01:09He is so known. This gives him a backstory. It gives him a voice, and it makes you understand
01:14him more. I think she offers so much to him as well. And then for the other bits,
01:21there's the Easter eggs in it are insane, and I have been keeping them in for so long,
01:26and I cannot wait to finally be able to tell everyone. But I think it's a beautiful story
01:31of love and honour and courage and loss, and that's something that Lord of the Rings fans
01:35know and love.
01:36And you are incredible, by the way. You're so brilliant. Can you sum it up for me in
01:41three words, if you can?
01:42Oh my gosh. Exciting, joyful, and sorrowful.
