00:16The Commission on Elections is now studying filing a criminal and disqualification case against the barangay officials in Makati City

00:32According to Complex Folks Person Director John Rexlao-Diangco,

00:36just like filing a disqualification case against the barangay officials in Cagayan de Oro

00:41who have issued numerous barangay certificates,

00:44it is also possible to file a criminal and disqualification case against the barangay officials in Makati City.

00:52We expect that if we have enough evidence,

00:57our special task force will also help in one case, the petition for disqualification,

01:05and the second case, the possible filing of a criminal case, the election offense.

01:11Now, Komelec did not mention how many barangay officials are there.

01:15But if he can prove that they intended to issue barangay certificates,

01:21it is possible that they will be jailed and face perpetual disqualification.

01:27Here is the statement of Director Lau-Diangco.
