00:00So first, I just want to thank Kevin and George for their support and their alignment.
00:11As we all know, situations like these are very difficult when you build relationships
00:16with someone over a period of time, to let them go is tough, but I want to thank Coach
00:22Ibeflus for his efforts and his dedication while he was here, but at the end of the day,
00:27we just came up short too many times, we had to make a change.
00:31Two years ago, I was proud of the progress that we made from year one to year two, but
00:37disappointed we weren't able to stay on that track in year three.
00:41In terms of Thomas Brown, I'm excited for him.
00:45We love his direct leadership, his command, and his confidence.
00:49It will be diligent, we will do it the right way, and one of the things that we have to
00:55keep in mind, there are certain policies and procedures that are set forth by the National
00:59Football League, and we need to follow those, and we will follow those, but when you look
01:06at the assets of the Chicago Bears, why am I so excited about this opportunity to work
01:12with Ryan, about finding our permanent head football coach here, is number one, we have
01:19the greatest fans that I talked about earlier.
01:22They are passionate.
01:23I appreciate and embrace that passion.
01:26Secondly, is that we have a great tradition of the Chicago Bears.
01:32It is really special in all of sports.
01:35We're going to have plenty of salary cap space.
01:39We have a young, talented roster.
01:42We have strong draft capital in the upcoming draft, and we have a quarterback in Caleb
01:47Williams who's shown he is very special, and in the right environment, he can become
01:53even more special than he already has shown.
