00:00We go now to South America, as in Venezuela, the Attorney General's office has denounced
00:05disinformation campaigns promoted by the far right wing in the nation following a wave
00:10of post-electoral violence.
00:13The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, stated that the international media
00:17seeks to hide the truth and clean up the image of those who committed terrorist actions after
00:24the presidential elections of July 28th.
00:27In this sense, Saab offered details on the progress of the investigations that led to
00:32the arrest of those involved in the wave of violence that resulted in the death of civilians
00:38and also of public officials.
00:40He also highlighted the lack of attendance of Venezuelans to the last calls of the extreme
00:45right wing, which evidences the population's rejection to this opposition sector.
00:51It is always shameful to see how there are transnational campaigns that seek to clean
01:02up the image of terrorist groups that caused deaths, injuries, and serious damage to civilians
01:07and innocent people, also to schools, health centers, buildings of public agencies, vehicles,
01:13and even private businesses of entrepreneurs who were doing the right thing.
