Earlier, the attorney general of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, announced on Monday the formal set up of a committee for justice for victims of fascism in July 2024. The initiative of the Venezuelan government aims at continuing the investigations to clarify all the acts of violence unleashed by extremist sectors after the July 28 elections.

00:13The initiative of the Venezuelan government aims at continuing the investigations to clarify
00:18all the acts of violence unleashed by extremist sectors after the July 28th elections.
00:24The Venezuelan official denounced the campaigns that led the world imply that the arrested
00:29people were all supposedly innocent, while the deceased and the wounded, as a consequence
00:35of the violence of the extreme right, were intentionally made invisible.
00:39Saab stated that the objective of this committee is to explain clearly and unequivocally to
00:45the Venezuelan people a fact distorted by the media.
00:58We are in this important meeting to formally create the Committee for the Justice of Victims
01:02July 2024, an important effort that, as you can see, has the participation of personalities
01:17linked to the human rights issue, that will provide a highly organic, spiritual, legal
01:29and technical support to the relatives of the victims of that fascist violence that
01:41shook the country because they didn't want to recognize the electoral results.
