00:00Seven policemen were injured after being shot by several rallyists during a riot on Bonifacio Day.

00:07Bernadette Reyes was the one who was shot.

00:20The rallyists called on the police who were blocking this part of Recto Avenue in Manila.

00:25In the middle of their riot, on this day, on the 161st day of Bonifacio Day,

00:37the rallyists marched to Mendiola.

00:40But before they could arrive, they were blocked by the police.

00:43According to the Manila Police District, seven policemen were injured in the incident that is now being treated.

00:50We were blocked by the police.

00:52One of our colleagues was arrested.

00:56He has nothing to do with this.

00:58If someone was injured by them, someone was also injured by us.

01:02But the point is, why are they blocking us?

01:04We are still verifying if we were arrested.

01:07We need to follow the rule of law.

01:09We respect their rights.

01:11We are asking them not to include this area in Freedom Park.

01:16The rallyists did not fight back.

01:18They continued their program there after the police allowed it.

01:22Militant groups called for the price of electricity and gas to be lowered,

01:27political prisoners to be released,

01:29and other issues to be addressed to the current administration.

01:33President Bong Mong Marcos said that he is concerned about the sacrifice shown by Bonifacio and our ancestors.

01:39We owe to them the contribution of our fellow countrymen, our unity, and our independence.

01:47As someone who knows Bonifacio, we should know the deeper meaning of his sacrifice

01:53and be part of the fight against hunger, corruption, criminality, and other social problems.

02:01As Vice President Sara Duterte said,

02:03it is important to show that we are aware of the situation of our country,

02:10such as poverty, hunger, lack of jobs, and lack of primary services for Filipinos.
