00:04Derbyshire Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman died in a hit-and-run attack.
00:10Officers were called to reports of a collision in Batley Lane, Plesley at around 8pm on Tuesday.
00:15The collision involved an e-bike and a dark-covered 4x4 vehicle, believed to be a Land Rover Discovery,
00:22which had followed two e-bikes before ramming one of them, causing the rider and the pillion passenger to fall off.
00:28The car then drove off from the scene without stopping.
00:31A 25-year-old woman who was riding pillion on the bike was pronounced dead at the scene,
00:35her family being supported by specialist officers.
00:38The rider of the bike, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
00:45Two people, a man and a woman, both in their 30s from the Skegby area of Nottinghamshire,
00:50have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently remaining in police custody.
00:55Police want to hear from anyone who saw a dark-coloured Land Rover Discovery,
00:59believed to have been manufactured between 2004 and 2009, in and around the Presley area prior to 8pm.
01:07The vehicle was last seen on Rowthorne Lane, where it turned right onto the A617 towards New Hufton.

01:28has opened a new, larger store at the Vicar Lane Shopper Centre.
01:31The upgrade, which is next to F. Hines, has allowed Ministry Clothing to expand their collection,
01:36which now features a range of suits along with their existing offerings.
01:39The announcement follows another addition to Chesterfield's High Street ahead of the festive season,
01:44with Vicar Lane also welcoming the arrival of the Edinburgh Wool Mill to the town centre.
