00:00Hi I'm Carla and I own Blooms and Blooms. Brilliant and so tell me what's going to
00:06be happening on the 8th of December? The 8th of December we are having the Great
00:10Hampshire Wreath Off. We are doing it in aid of the Baton of Hope UK. We start in
00:16the morning by making moss wreaths, traditional Christmas wreaths using all
00:19the wonderful foliages and moss and all the lovely bits and pieces, quite organic.
00:24And then in the afternoon we are making a fireplace garland or you can put it
00:28around your door. It won't be as long as a door but it will give you all the
00:31fabulous techniques how to make a lovely garland for Christmas. Tell me why you
00:36wanted to do something like this? Well I wanted to do that, I've always done
00:39workshops because I taught floristry for a long time and I wanted to do the
00:43workshop for the Baton of Hope because a friend introduced me a couple of years
00:47ago and because of personal grief and friends that have had losses in their
00:53families because of suicide, the Baton of Hope UK really touched my heart so we
00:58felt if we could do a huge wreath off we'd actually be able to raise awareness
01:04most importantly which will then in turn will help prevention of suicide which
01:10has such a huge impact on the families and hopefully save some lives and we
01:17want to raise a little bit. The money is the little bit we can do but the
01:20awareness is probably the most important we can do but we hope to do both on the day.
01:24Is there a chance for people to still get involved? Absolutely yes we've
01:28still got quite a few places left. The garland hasn't taken off so much as the
01:33wreath, people love garlands and but the wreaths have taken off quite a bit but
01:37we still want to push and get people to do as much as they can to do both
01:41because we've got free lunch if you do both and a free demonstration of table
01:46design and we're gonna do a little funky table design so you'll get that if you
01:49stay for both and you can come for £5 just to watch the wreath or just
01:54watch the garland you can't have the lunch or watch the other bit but if you
01:59can come in the morning afternoon for £5 and all the £5 goes to the Baton of
02:02Hope and we'll also have a little table with some lovely gifts or some vases and
02:07glasses and little bits and pieces all for Christmas and 10% of the profit of that
02:10again will go to the Baton of Hope. So if people do want to come along and actually book a
02:15space where can they do that? They do that online you go straight to our
02:19Great Hampshire Wreath Off which will be on the website so yes. We have hot drinks and
02:24nibbles throughout the day so but if anybody has any intolerances either
02:30let us know beforehand especially if you're booking maybe you could put that
02:33in the bit where you can put some notes if you book online or you can
02:39email us or tell us but if you know you have an intolerance to something maybe
02:42if you bring yourself a little bit of your own milk some lactose-free or
02:47oat milk or something but we will do our best to cater for you if we don't have
02:53the information.
