00:00Venezuela has positioned itself among the backward countries in the struggle against
00:04fascism and its diverse expressions.
00:07And just this week, a new meeting called International Antifascist for a New World is taking place.
00:13Details in the following report.
00:15The revolutionary process promoted in Venezuela has once again become a benchmark in the fight
00:23against the various expressions of world fascism, and has called on many international political
00:28and social organizations to organize and join forces.
00:36Fascism is nothing more than a derivation.
00:38It is like an element that imperialism uses and capitalism uses to maintain its domination,
00:44to maintain its exploitation of the working men and women.
00:48So the anti-fascist struggle is also an anti-capitalist struggle.
00:52It is a struggle for the construction of socialism, which is the only way we know of to be able
01:04to extinguish, as Comrade Randa said, definitively both capitalism and its most violent expressions
01:11or those with the greatest terror in which it is expressed, which is fascism itself.
01:23One of the most representative fighters against capitalism was the revolutionary fighter Ernesto
01:28Che Guevara.
01:29And his daughter, the revolutionary Dr. Oleda Guevara, is worthy of inheriting Che's anti-fascist
01:35legacy.
01:38What fascism means, look at the examples.
01:41This is what we have lived.
01:42This is what you can live if you allow it.
01:44This is what you want, for example, to be left without housing, for example, to be left
01:49without culture, for example, to hand over everything you have to another state so that
01:54it can come and dominate you and crush you and try to disappear you as a people.
01:59That is what you want?
02:00Surely not.
02:01So what we have to do is to try to be like my father.
02:04It is easier to make you follow than not having to force.
02:07And that is very important.
02:09We have to demonstrate our truths, but in such a way that the young people understand
02:14them, understand them and join the struggle out of conviction.
02:17Not because we are forcing them, but because we have convinced them that a better world
02:22is possible.
02:29Within the analysis and reflection of the world geopolitical context, it was agreed
02:33that one of the ways in which fascism disguises itself is through governments elected under
02:39democratic mechanisms, but which act with authoritarian expressions that favor the
02:43interests of those who hold economic and political power.
02:50The government as such has made policies that go against the Salvadoran people, public policies
02:55that are not in accordance with what the population is asking for, as in the case of the high
02:59cost of living, as in the case of regulations to apparently raise taxes.
03:04There are even regulations that had to go back a little because of the popular voice.
03:17When there are demonstrations of social organizations, there are many checkpoints, and the population
03:24is detained, and they are doing all kinds of actions that do not facilitate conditions
03:29for people to demonstrate.
03:38Another of the manifestations of fascism as an expression of capitalism is the disregard
03:43of the cultural manifestations of the native peoples who struggle for their identity and
03:48dignity.
03:51We are fully supporting the worldwide struggle against fascism.
03:57We are the representation of the native peoples of Guatemala, and we are here supporting and
04:02making a worldwide network so that we are respected as native people.
04:12This concludes the first day held in Caracas to confront international fascism.
