00:00Hi! How are you?
00:04I'm good, how are you?
00:05Welcome to home.
00:12I've never been to a Bombay house with such massive ceilings.
00:15Can you believe it?
00:16Yeah, look at these. Where did you even get these curtains?
00:18I had to get it made.
00:19Yeah, wow.
00:20Because it's very difficult, so when I was telling my curtain guy also, he's like,
00:24how long is the size?
00:26You have a curtain guy?
00:27Yeah.
00:28Very cool.
00:29I see the Marshall speaker.
00:31Yes, I use it when I do my yoga or when I have my girly kiddie parties and parties and all that.
00:37So like Marshall just works fine for me.
00:40Yeah.
00:41What are we listening to? What's the playlist looking like?
00:43Depends, you know, it depends totally on my mood.
00:46I like sitar music also sometimes.
00:48Okay.
00:49Yeah.
00:50Okay.
00:51And it's very...
00:52No Drake.
00:53No.
00:54Drake is sometimes with my husband.
00:55Okay.
00:56Yeah.
00:57So generally I'm like, I'm into more of softer songs.
00:59I am sensing that Zen energy throughout the house.
01:02Yes.
01:03You also have a Buddha.
01:04Yeah.
01:05Zen mode, yeah.
01:06Why don't you run us through your morning routine?
01:08What time do you start your day?
01:09When does yoga happen?
01:10So I start my day by 8 a.m.
01:12I do my little pranayam.
01:14I love, you know, like little morning routine I do.
01:17I drink my jeera paani and all that.
01:20Okay.
01:21And then I do a little bit of om meditation.
01:23And then I go for my workout.
01:25Okay.
01:26So...
01:27More Buddha, of course.
01:28Yeah.
01:29Gotta have that.
01:30Okay.
01:31My husband and me, we love Buddha.
01:32We sit here.
01:33We do our barbecue sometimes.
01:34Okay.
01:35Yeah.
01:36In winter.
01:37Yeah.
01:38Okay.
01:39I'm free anytime, by the way.
01:40100%.
01:41I'll call you.
01:44Next we must move up.
01:45Oh.
01:46Okay.
01:47So after your yoga, after your workout, it's all done.
01:49Then you come here.
01:50No.
01:51After my yoga, I have coffee.
01:52Okay.
01:53I chill and then I go for my weight training.
01:56I see.
01:57I see.
01:58And then after the weight training, come on.
02:00That's totally for evening.
02:01Very cool.
02:02That's so much.
02:03Yeah.
02:04Wow.
02:05You guys want to have it?
02:10We dine here.
02:11We have our food here.
02:12Okay.
02:14Nice view.
02:15A lot of sunlight here.
02:16Yeah.
02:17A lot of sunlight.
02:18So what are we talking in terms of food, though?
02:20What's our cuisine?
02:21It depends.
02:22Every Sunday is idli, dosa.
02:24I love it because more than Varun, I'm a South Indian.
02:28I have the palate.
02:29I see.
02:30You know.
02:31So every Sunday I need.
02:32Before marriage also, mostly every Sunday I used to have idli and dosa.
02:41So Karishma, I wanted to talk to you about Instagram.
02:44Oh.
02:45Yes.
02:46How much do you use it in a day?
02:48So if you would have asked me till last year, a lot.
02:55I was addicted.
02:56If I'm opening Instagram account, then good one hour I am on it.
03:02You know, because there are so many funny reels.
03:04And you laugh.
03:05And then you later realize that, oh my God, I've like wasted my one hour scrolling and
03:10doing nothing.
03:11I've just, you know, like wasted my time.
03:13And then I decided that, you know what, every 10 minutes, I mean, every 10 minutes I'll
03:17see Instagram, you know, for 10-15 minutes.
03:20And then I'll just switch it off.
03:21You know, watch TV, play with my dog.
03:24Oh, you have a dog?
03:25I have a dog.
03:26Where is he or she?
03:27One is sleeping on the 10th floor.
03:29One is here.
03:30You want to meet?
03:31Yeah, of course.
03:32We got to meet the dog.
03:36He ignored.
03:37Bye.
03:38What's up, Zaku?
03:39He's a chiller.
03:40The other one is opposite of chill.
03:42What's up, buddy?
03:43Zak.
03:44Zak.
03:45Zak and?
03:46Coco.
03:47Coco?
03:48Yeah.
03:49Interesting names.
03:52He loves massages, by the way.
03:53Of course.
03:54Okay, then.
03:55So yeah, I was saying that I play with my dogs.
03:57I, you know, listen to some good informative videos.
04:01But one hour is still not a lot.
04:03Kids, our generation, it's 10 plus hours.
04:06What?
04:07Yeah.
04:08Our daily average is 10 hours a day.
04:10Oh my God.
04:11That's our generation.
04:12What advice would you like to give?
04:13One second.
04:14What is our generation?
04:15I mean, I mean, just my people.
04:17Gen Z, you mean?
04:18Yes, yes, ma'am.
04:19Yes.
04:20You're making me sound very old.
04:21Not at all.
04:22Here's a chance for us to euthanize.
04:25We have a segment called OK Boomer
04:27where we quiz all our guests on Gen Z lingo.
04:31Yes.
04:32I'm losing for sure.
04:34That's what everybody says.
04:35And everybody is right, of course.
04:37No cap, I know.
04:38Oh, you don't know cap?
04:39Okay, very cool.
04:40Because I've heard it a lot in these series also.
04:44We'll start easy.
04:45What does woke mean?
04:48Woke?
04:49Yeah.
04:50That person is woke.
04:51Mad.
04:52Smart.
04:53No.
04:54He's finally realized.
04:56Okay, you're not off.
04:58You would call someone woke who is very politically correct.
05:02Oh, I'm going to try this next time.
05:05I'm a very woke person.
05:06Yes, perfect.
05:07Lit.
05:08Lit, I know.
05:09Lit.
05:10Lit, yeah.
05:11It's lit.
05:12It's cool.
05:14There it is.
05:15One right, okay.
05:17Next one is she ate.
05:19Huh?
05:20She ate.
05:21She?
05:22Ate.
05:23Ate.
05:24I mean, you could also say he ate, but yeah.
05:25A-T-E ate.
05:27A-T-E.
05:28Why would someone say that in a slang?
05:30She ate.
05:31Hmm, yeah.
05:33No, you just repeated the word.
05:35One second.
05:36She ate means she was good, no?
05:38Yeah?
05:39Yeah, it's when you nail something.
05:41Nailed it.
05:42Okay, so she ate and left no crumbs.
05:44Oh.
05:45These are phrases that you might see in the Instagram comment section.
05:48What does ghosting mean?
05:50That disappearing.
05:51Yeah.
05:52Okay, so this you knew.
05:53Yeah.
05:54Very easy.
05:55This you knew.
05:56Do you ghost people a lot?
05:57I do.
05:58Okay.
05:59That's why I relate to it.
06:00Very nice.
06:01I do, I do.
06:02You have to, it's necessary.
06:03Yeah.
06:04For your mind to be sane.
06:05Right.
06:06That brings us to an end of our OK Boomer segment.
06:09How do you think you've done?
06:11Decent, right?
06:12Decent, yeah, yeah.
06:13Like, I'm not bad.
06:14But I've learned a lot now from you.
06:16Right, so if you could, for our young kids, if you could give some life advice
06:22using some of the words you've learned here today,
06:26take it away to camera number four.
06:29You guys are lit.
06:31Nice.
06:32Like, no cap.
06:35Brilliant.
06:36Next, we're going to do a fun segment.
06:38Never been done before in Bollywood.
06:41It's groundbreaking journalism, if I may be so bold.
06:44If you could switch lives with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
06:49Fictional character?
06:50Yeah.
06:51Alexis Rose from Schitt's Creek?
06:54I would actually be both.
06:56Moira Rose and Alexis Rose.
06:58I like the mixture of both because I'm both.
07:01Interesting.
07:02How so?
07:03I don't know.
07:04The moment I finish that show, I just want to, like, behave like them.
07:07Yeah.
07:08And I feel that I relate to them because there are a lot of situations when I see
07:12I am Moira, you know, and my husband also tells me, isn't this you?
07:16Like, did you just behave the same way?
07:19You know, it's weird.
07:21Yeah.
07:22What's one skill you've always wanted to learn but never got the chance to?
07:25Guitar.
07:26My tutor told me that I have to cut my nails.
07:28So I'm like, oh, that's too much of effort.
07:30So I didn't do it.
07:32And also it used to hurt my fingers.
07:35Yeah.
07:36So I always, like, I look at a good guitarist and I'm like, damn, wish I could learn this.
07:41Yeah.
07:42But what's stopping you now?
07:43You could find the time, shred away for your next party.
07:47Yeah, maybe.
07:48I will, next year.
07:49Yeah.
07:50Yeah.
07:51Perfect.
07:52If you could collaborate with any actor, living or deceased, who would it be and why?
07:57Mr. SRK.
07:58I would love to collaborate with him.
08:00Can you share a memorable behind-the-scenes moment from one of your projects?
08:06Yeah, from my last show, Scoop, there was a scene where me and my nana had to do an emotional scene.
08:19We went so much into the character that I remember after my director said cut,
08:26I saw everybody from spot to my DOP who was, you know, looking into the lens.
08:31Everybody had tears in the eyes.
08:33And then we had this 10 minutes of break where we had to come out of it, you know.
08:39So I think that was a very goosebump kind of a moment for me because I've never faced this,
08:46where I have touched so many lives with my acting.
08:51And then my director also said, you know, good job, beta.
08:55So I liked it.
08:56Yeah.
08:57That was very memorable.
08:58Of a lot of memories.
08:59I remember walking in, a lot of photos there.
09:02I feel like we have to touch upon that as well.
09:04Of course.
09:05Could we have a look?
09:06Yeah.
09:07This is so cute.
09:08This is from my Haldi, which happened, you know, on the building terrace only.
09:12This is my mehendi ceremony.
09:15This is my wedding.
09:17And these are just few candid shots which we've taken, you know, in the house.
09:23Who took this?
09:24Was this a photo shoot or was it actually candid?
09:27It was a photo shoot and we were just talking and then it just happened to be candid.
09:31So nice.
09:32Yeah.
09:33This is my entire family.
09:34My mom, my mother-in-law and my two cute little dogs.
09:37I had such a fun time talking to you.
09:41Thank you so much for inviting me to your house.
09:43I hope you had fun, Karishma.
09:45I did, Nihal.
09:46Thank you so much.
