00:00Another program of the Department of Agriculture that will help to increase the income and ensure the well-being of our countrymen and farmers

00:08launched in Nueva Ecija.

00:20Patrick, the pilot rollout of Pantawida was conducted today.

00:24Pantawida is an agri-puhunan and Pantawid program led by the Department of Agriculture.

00:30President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. launched the program in September here in Gimba, Nueva Ecija.

00:39The farmers now have their Interventions Monitoring Card or IMC.

00:44The IMC is a multifunctional card for the various assistance of the DA for the farmers.

00:50That's why the farmers are fully involved, just like Father Mario.

00:55We are thankful to our beloved President for helping us to farm without letting us down.

01:05Because Madam, the first 8,000 monthly assistance is a big help to us.

01:12Because in the last year, we tried to get a pay of P28,000.

01:18That's a big thing for us farmers.

01:20The IMC has withdrawn the cash for the farmers to be able to buy rice

01:26and other items for farming from accredited merchants.

01:29It's a good thing that accredited merchants are accessible.

01:33It's good, Madam, because we are just nearby.

01:37We are already in the other barangay.

01:39It's a big help for us because we are already nearby.

01:42We can buy rice and other pesticides.

01:46With the help of accredited merchants,

01:48the price and lack of funds for the use of the IMC can be avoided.

01:53The farmers can withdraw cash from ATMs, POS machines, and e-money.

01:59The DA is working with the Development Bank of the Philippines

02:02for the payment of loans and to facilitate access through the Interventions Monitoring Card.

02:09The financial institution of government is here.

02:12All the support agencies are here.

02:14So, this is the program that we want.

02:17If we go down, we will spread the program to the whole government.

02:23The Development Bank of the Philippines will continue to help and contribute

02:27to programs like the APP or Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid Program

02:34that pushes for progress and prosperity for our farmers.

02:42Some farms of Agriculture are also a part of the APP.

02:45They are part of Planters Products Incorporated

02:47to ensure that the inputs of the farmers can be used by the farmers.

02:54The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation will allocate insurance coverage

02:58while the National Rice Program of the DA will provide high quality rice.

03:03The farmers can receive up to Php 60,000 credits per hectare

03:08that can be used within 180 days or during the harvest season.

03:13This is also a program that will improve the living conditions of the farmers

03:18and ensure food security.

03:20The Beneficiary Farmers will also receive Php 32,000 for four months

03:25to meet the needs of the farmers' families while waiting for the harvest season.

03:31When the harvest season comes,

03:33the National Food Authority will buy five tons of rice

03:37at a price that will not go down to Php 21 per kilo.

03:41The farmers will earn more than Php 100,000 per hectare

03:46that will be imported to the IMC.

03:48We have Php 5,000 here that will be beneficiaries

03:52and as a result of that, we will see how we can add that.

03:56Our farming sector represents 24% of our labor force.

04:02We want to reach all of them.

04:04And hopefully, you know, we reached all of them.

04:07That's the target.

04:08The ABRI Pukunan and Pantawid Program is based on the goal of the Marcos Administration

04:13to make the farming more bankable,

04:15to attract more and bigger populations.

04:24According to the DA, they will continue to improve the APP Program

04:28for the Targeted Nationwide Implementation.
