00:14PNP Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil ordered the police to guard the movements of the armed groups.

00:22It is possible for them to be used by trusted politicians against their opponents in politics.

00:28While the National Day is approaching,

00:30it is possible to hear heated debates and defeats of the opponents.

00:36That's why the police should also guard the ground.

00:39Because of this, Marbil also ordered the addition of police visibility,

00:44the installation of checkpoints,

00:46and enhanced intelligence monitoring in various places.

00:55particularly in areas where we have previously monitored intense political rivalries.

01:10PNP Chief General Rommel also ordered the police to be non-partisan.

01:15Meanwhile, PNP Spokesperson, Police Colonel Gene Fajardo said

01:19that they will base the areas that were included in the areas of concern in the 2022, 2023, and 2019 elections.

01:29We have election areas of concern upon validation,

01:33which were confirmed by the government.

01:35As of September 6, we have potential areas of concern.

01:42But we really cannot raise yet the figures right now.

01:45Because this will pass through the validation of the Joint Peace Security Coordinating Council

01:51led by their respective election directors, as well as PNP and AFP.

01:58The National Police ordered the public to be careful and vigilant

02:04and immediately report to the police the movement and people in their respective areas.
