00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced that they are studying the possible election in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

00:09Meanwhile, the President is scheduled to travel for a one-day working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

00:21President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is scheduled to travel to the United Arab Emirates next week for a one-day working visit.

00:29According to the Presidential Communications Office, although the President's working visit is short, it is expected to be productive.

00:37The President's activities include meeting with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,

00:44where the two leaders are expected to discuss how to strengthen the relationship between the UAE and the Philippines.

00:52The Chief Executive will also express his gratitude to the UAE for the recognition and appreciation of the talents of Filipinos in the country.

01:00The President is now asking the Philippine community in the UAE that he will not be able to visit because he will return to the Philippines

01:08for personal reasons related to relief and reconstruction activities in communities affected by the recent typhoons.

01:15The number of delegations included in the President's working visit has also been limited.

01:20Meanwhile, the Chief Executive has instructed the government to call for an election in the Moro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, or BARM,

01:30which is scheduled for next year.

01:32According to the Chief Executive, there are unintended consequences to the Supreme Court's decision to separate Sulu from BARM,

01:40which should be adjusted, such as the creation of local government code, administrative code, and electoral code for Sulu, which is not a part of the so-called region.

01:49There are 7 districts in BARM that used to belong to Sulu.

01:56Now, they don't have a congressman, they don't have a province.

02:02There are also 8 municipalities that don't have a district or province, but won the plebiscite, so they are included in BARM.

02:12So, we will now create a new province.

02:15The Chief Executive has also instructed that the BARM Parliamentary Elections in the 2025 midterm elections can be held simultaneously

02:21if there is enough time to prepare for it, which he is also studying for now.

02:27The suggestions are different.

02:30Some have already filed for the BARM election.

02:37To continue the preparations for the elections, we just need to end the consequences of the Supreme Court decision.
