Our producer, Ben, found himself inside one of his own videos when he discovers a tiny kitten stuck under a car. He explains how he took him home and gave him a bath, and introduced him to his dog, cats and toddler!

00:13My partner Leah heard a kitten crying for help underneath a car.
00:18Come here kitty kitty.
00:22He wouldn't come out so eventually I just had to call it quits.
00:25Come here.
00:26I know cats pretty well. I'm a producer at the Dodo and I do a lot of stories on cats.
00:30Last night it was actually under a car. I saw it so that's why I was like oh my gosh it's tiny.
00:36And so I went under.
00:37It was about an hour or so of them working.
00:41They eventually rescued this little kitten.
00:45I was in kitten mode.
00:49It really dawned on me. I was like wow I'm really in one of my stories.

00:59I've never held a kitten in my life.
01:03I was just absolutely smitten.
01:06I also was kind of sensing that it was going to be very difficult for me to let go.

01:19So we had to give him a bath and we had no clue what we were doing.

01:43We took him to the vet almost immediately.
01:45We got very lucky. He had nothing wrong with him.
01:49Our idea was just to foster him and try to see if we could find him a good home.
01:55We also have three cats and a dog ourselves.
01:58We have a toddler.
02:02At first we introduced him to our animals.
02:13Celeste had never seen anything so tiny and was just like what is this thing?
02:18Then my daughter Zoe came home and the fun really started.
02:26Zoe is obviously through the moon.
02:33Our plan was to find a place for this kitten where he could get the care that he deserved.
02:39We get to go to a cool home and I'm excited.

02:49I had a friend of a friend that fosters cats and has her own rescue.
02:56I took the trip with the kitten right next to me for the whole drive.
