00:21National Security Advisor Eduardo Año said that the Philippines is still working hard on the operations in Ayungin, Seoul,

00:29U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III shared on social media the existence of the U.S. Task Force Ayungin

00:36and how he is treating the American troops that are part of it in his visit on Tuesday to the AFP Western Command in Palawan.

00:44It was also confirmed by the United States Embassy in the Philippines.

00:48Año clarified that there is no direct participation of the Task Force in the operations in Ayungin, Seoul,

00:55including the resupply of Aurora Emissions in the BRP Sierra Madre.

01:12For Año, the support provided by the Task Force is a great help when it comes to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations

01:21and maritime domain awareness that is not only found in Ayungin, Seoul.

01:26This is not centered just on Ayungin.

01:28This is all aspects of MDT, SEB, our cooperation, collaboration with the U.S. forces.

01:42In an interview, the U.S. Embassy said that this initiative is based on different lines of cooperation

01:50between the forces of the United States and the Philippines,

01:53including the Mutual Defense Board, Security Engagement Board Process, and Maritime Framework,

01:59which is trying to keep a free and open region of the Indo-Pacific.

02:05According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines,

02:08the presence of the U.S. troops in Palawan is to provide technical assistance to the Command and Control Fusion Center in the Western Command.

02:16Meanwhile, the different armies from the ASEAN region joined together in Pampanga

02:22for the first ASEAN Armies Meet after 8 years.

02:26The Philippines is its host again,
