A messy mix of rain and snow is underway from the mid-Atlantic into New England.
Transcript
00:00still widespread rain. We need every drop of this, though. It's good news.
00:03It's just a little bit messy out there. Nasty evening. Now the rain is changing
00:07over to snow from the higher elevations, eventually down to the lower
00:10elevations into the interior northeast and other areas down near Altoona and
00:16southwest into areas around Ligonier. We're dealing with some snow 6 to 10
00:21inches there in some areas and then over all into some of the lower
00:26Highlands. We're seeing there's six plus inch amounts. That is a lighter
00:29snow, but it is still impactful. Indianapolis down to Cincinnati,
00:32Lexington, Kentucky, seeing some early season snow, even a little bit of far
00:35northeast Tennessee up near Jellicoe Mountain as I 75 zigzags down to the
00:40south of Whitley County, Kentucky. We're gonna be dealing with some
00:42accumulating snow into parts of the extreme northeastern volunteer state. So
00:47widespread rain is also falling in Boston, leading to some hour to two hour
00:50delays for flights. Not a good time. Let's take a look at those temperature
00:54changes were dropping pretty quickly in some spots 18 degrees lower than we
00:58were 24 hours ago in Virginia Beach. Where does that put us? Takes us down
01:02to 45 47 degrees in Boston. That's actually the warm spot in the region 31
01:07in Charleston and Columbus. So be careful out there. Untreated roads will
01:11be snowy and icy in many areas in the deep blue. We're looking at winter
01:14storm warnings where the snow accumulations will be more substantial
01:174567 inches for some, some more than that. In the Poconos, the endless
01:22mountains of northeast Pennsylvania and also down the spine of the mountains,
01:25the Poconos, though, and the Catskills and the endless mountains south of
01:29Binghamton. These are areas that will see some of the heaviest wet snow. It's
01:33gonna get cold. Then Accuweather real field temperatures dropped to 15 17 18
01:38degrees early tomorrow morning into areas like far western Virginia and
01:42most most of West Virginia. And the colors change. Here's we get deeper
01:45into the day. Rain changes over to snow at night. Snow changes back to rain
01:49during the middle of the day. Friday, a messy mix of rain and some snow snow
01:53holding on to the high ground and our accumulations here 1 to 3 in the light
01:57blue. The deepest blue, though the third shade 6 to 12 inches of mid to late
02:01November snow here. Bri, we're getting into it here, whether we're ready for
02:04it or not. It is here. Winter is no longer coming, Jeff. Yes, it has
02:10arrived. Okay, it's been a big problem in parts of the West as well. Yeah, it
02:15has. Unfortunately, we've been tracking some snore, snore, some snow here as
02:21well. Some even high numbers snow across parts of the Cascades, the
02:26Siskiyou's, even the northern Sierra.
