We ask the people of Newport whether they think the rising number of pharmacies closing is a concern for people who rely on them.

00:00Accessibility-wise, for sure, 100%. I mean, if people are reliant on getting to a pharmacy and
00:05it needs to be somewhere fairly local to them, it's going to be tough, for sure.
00:13I know a couple of pharmacies are closed down now, but their doctors are starting to slow down.
00:21But we've got big companies like Boots and all that starting to take over from pharmacies,
00:25and Superdrug, stuff like that. It's helpful when it's more central to town,
00:31when there are people on the outskirts of town who can't travel, who don't have enough money to
00:37get into town. Well, Windership have opened me on to Boots. They shut, I think, the second biggest
00:47one just along here, and they shut one in Maindy as well.
00:53It's a little bit difficult, some places, not a lot of pharmacies everywhere.
