00:00Notre Dame. People used to cry all the time. They don't play in a conference. They shouldn't
00:08be in. They have an advantage. They don't play a conference championship game. This
00:11is when there was four teams, Bill. Now that there's 12, I'm starting to see it even more.
00:16I'm a Notre Dame fan. I usually defend by saying Notre Dame usually schedules at least
00:23three or four of their games pretty good, just like everyone else. It's not their fault
00:27this year that Florida State and USC, I'll even throw Louisville in there, aren't very
00:33good this year. I don't think it's fair to Notre Dame to do that to them. They thought
00:37those were going to be marquee games for them. Yeah. Do you think they planned on Florida
00:41State being one in eight or one in nine? I don't think so. They schedule USC. They schedule
00:46across all the conferences. They've taken advantage of that ACC arrangement. Quite frankly,
00:51the last month or so, they've played well. They're really good on the defensive side
00:56of the ball. You can't throw on them. You have to earn every yard. I look at them as
01:02one of these top 10 defensive teams. If you look across most playoff projections, you're
01:07going to find eight of the top 10 defenses in college football there from a scoring standpoint.
01:11I think as we get into the college football playoff, some of these games might be fist
01:16fights, like 24-20, 24-17 type games. In that setting, Notre Dame could win a game or two
01:23in the playoff. I'm going to defend them here as long as they don't lose to Army,
01:27which is going to be an interesting game when you're going up nation's leading rush offense
01:31and a tough defense for the Black Knights. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. Four
01:36horsemen memories, look that up. I'd like the Irish to win this week and finish 11-1
01:42and possibly, depending on how it shakes out, get a home game in the first round.
01:48Yeah, that game at Yankee Stadium, too, against Army coming up here on Saturday night. That
01:53should be very interesting. I got about a minute left, Bill. BYU loses this week. Colorado's
01:59on a big roll right now. Colorado, BYU, or does Arizona State, who people are leaving
02:04out, they're right in the mix here with BYU this week.
02:08I like the Sun Devils this weekend. I do. I think they win at home. BYU hasn't been
02:13there since 1997. Sam Levitz, a hot quarterback, three touchdowns each of the last three
02:17weeks. They can run the football. Pretty complete domination at Kansas State over the weekend
02:22as well. Man, if I'd have told you last year, Arizona State, Colorado, a pair of 3-9 teams
02:28are going to be in the Big 12 championship game, how hard would you have laughed me off
02:32this show? I think it's getting closer to becoming a reality.
