00:00Lots of upsets this past weekend, we were looking at some of the numbers yesterday and
00:07this morning, you know, people sweating about Indiana game, you know, fan has got a minus
00:128000 to making the playoffs.
00:15So they think they're going to be in, you're seeing Tennessee at minus 450.
00:20You could sometimes Gabe, look at those lines for what the books think of who's going to
00:24make it and kind of get a little bit of a playbook for what these guys are going to
00:27put out tonight with the rankings.
00:29I don't fully understand the criticism of Indiana as much as there is out there.
00:36And listen, I don't think Indiana are a top, top tier football team, and I think they'll
00:40lose in the college football playoffs.
00:43But the hostility towards them, I think it's just a little bit over the top.
00:49And the fact is, there's just not that many one loss teams out there.
00:52Right?
00:53I mean, you know, we can talk about, are the SEC teams better?
00:58And I would say, yes, I think they've kind of cannibalized themselves a little bit.
01:02But at the same point in time, you are what your record says you are.
01:05So I don't have a problem with Indiana getting in.
01:08I think a big winner over the weekend, actually, was Notre Dame.
01:12Right?
01:13Notre Dame have just systematically sort of, they've kept winning and people around them
01:17are losing.
01:18But I said it before, Carver, and I said it to you.
01:21I said it to Pharrell when the first rankings came out.
01:24Right?
01:25Oh, look at this matchup.
01:26But look at that matchup.
01:27People can't even remember who was whatever looked like back then.
01:31So sort of like a snow globe.
01:32We reshake it every week.
01:34So I'm sort of going to wait and see how it plays out still right now.
01:39But it's going to be an intriguing playoff this year.
01:41And you get the big 12 teams, right?
01:44They're going to get in the back door.
01:45They'll be one of the lower seeds as well.
01:47But I'm curious to see what it's all said and done.
01:49Who plays who?
01:50A&M is all or nothing for them.
01:53Right?
01:54So Texas A&M win.
01:55They're going to get in.
01:56If they don't win, they're not going to get in.
01:58But as you stated, everything is kind of working itself out right now.
02:01It is.
02:02And you mentioned shaking the snow globe.
02:05I think there'll be even more of it between this weekend and the conference championship
02:10games.
02:11Especially if we can get an upset.
02:14Right?
02:15Like where's that upset coming from?
02:16Is it Georgia Tech?
02:17Georgia Tech lost by like seven or eight last year to them.
02:20Right?
02:21So Georgia Tech have shown, all right, we can hang around with Georgia.
02:24This Georgia Tech football team is pretty good.
02:27Right?
02:28They're not going to be overly, I don't think they get smashed, like murdered by Georgia.
02:32They can hang around.
02:34Does Michigan have one in them?
02:36Right?
02:37Michigan actually played the best.
02:39You know?
02:40I think Michigan can hang around the point spread, but it's going to be hard to go in
02:43there and actually beat them.
02:44Right?
02:45I mean, you're getting three touchdowns.
02:48So I don't know where the massive upset, Notre Dame, USC, maybe, you know what I mean?
02:53It's sort of like, some of these games, some of these teams that we saw last week, Mike,
02:57you know, it's a big theme.
03:00Teams saving their season, bro.
03:01Right?
03:02And I told people this all week about Oklahoma and Alabama.
03:05And I said, you know, if Oklahoma wins this game, there's going to be a lot of pain will
03:10be forgotten, man.
03:12Right?
03:13A lot of the season.
03:14Look at what's going on in Gainesville right now, Carver.
03:17They wanted to put Billy Napier on the next train out of town before.
03:20Now it's like, hey, let's go.
03:21What are we playing again?
03:22Let's go.
03:23Let's beat someone else.
03:24Right?
03:25It sort of started to roll.
03:26So you never really know what these last late games, what someone's going to step up and
03:30pull the carpet out from underneath.
03:32But I kind of don't see it happening this weekend.
03:35I think the one team I'd watch for this weekend is, and they need to win to play in that ACC
03:40title game is Miami.
03:42I know Syracuse has been okay in spots this year.
03:45They're going on the road.
03:49If Miami loses, Clemson is going to be in the game against SMU.
03:52So they cannot afford to slip up in the dome against Syracuse this weekend.
03:57And I was saying yesterday to Joe Gabe, Boise's played with fire the last few weeks and maybe
04:03not this week with Oregon state.
04:05But if they got to play UNLV again next week in the Mountain West title game, I know everybody's
04:11got Boise penciled in.
04:13They think they're going to get a buy, which I don't believe they will after whoever comes
04:16out of the big 12 wins.
04:17I still think that there'll be that fourth buy team, but I'd be careful with Boise these
04:21next two weeks, Oregon state, and then possibly UNLV.
04:25I don't, I don't disagree with you, but at the same point of time, if Boise get in, they're
04:28going to be dangerous for other teams, right?
04:31They're going to be, they're going to be a problem.
04:33You know, when you want to talk about the playoff, this is where something you just
04:36said, it's sort of, I find interesting.
04:39What do they do?
04:40If UNLV wins, are you, is UNLV getting in?
04:44Like those are the questions.
04:45Like we, I don't really know.
04:46We can debate all Indiana state or rank six and eight from whatever, blah, blah, blah.
04:50But like, think about that.
04:51Like, are you an LV?
04:52Are they going to, are you an LV in, right?
04:56If they win this, that, that's sort of a question that I'm looking at here there.
05:00So there's sort of still a couple of things to happen.
05:02Like you said, bro, this, this ACC thing is pretty wild right now.
05:07I still like, I kind of, I can't believe that SMU will be in the playoff somehow.
05:11So something's going to happen before that.
