00:00I don't really think Utah has that great of a team this year.
00:09They were favored to win the Big 12.
00:11They've been anything but.
00:13I thought last week their athletic director made a fool of himself after that game at
00:19Rice-Eccles.
00:20I've never actually seen an AD have a meltdown like that before publicly at a presser and
00:26like embarrass the entire school and athletic program, to be honest with you.
00:31But they have owned Colorado.
00:34They have beaten Colorado so many times, 11 of 12, and they beat them three straight times
00:40at Folsom Field.
00:42Does any of that worry you with this game on Saturday?
00:47Not really.
00:48The only thing that worries me is I still have great respect for Utah, even though they
00:51don't have, they're not having the season that we thought.
00:55They're still tough.
00:57That defense is number one in the Big 12, so you have to respect that.
01:00They haven't allowed more than 27 points to anybody this year.
01:03They got one of the best pass defenses in the country, and that's to use strength on
01:07offense is throwing the football.
01:10So you have to respect that.
01:12But Utah can't score.
01:13I mean, they're averaging 14 points a game over the last five weeks, and Cam Rising we
01:18know is out.
01:19The kid they brought in last week for a spark against BYU, Brandon Rose, he's out for the
01:24year.
01:25They lost their star tight end, Brant Keithy, last week.
01:27So I just don't know how Utah is going to score.
01:29So I'm not worried about CU winning the game.
01:32I don't know if it's going to be pretty.
01:33I don't know if they're going to blow them out, but I'm not too worried about CU winning
01:37the game.
01:38I think they're a much better football team right now than Utah is.
01:41Yeah, I do too.
01:43And what they've been doing to teams in the third quarter has been unbelievable.
01:48They come out of the tunnel in the second half and they destroy teams.
01:52They've outscored them 76-24 in the third.
01:55They light it up.
01:56Why do you think they've been so effective then?
02:01They've been really good with in-game adjustments.
02:03If you look at a lot of their games, their opponents will come out and get some things
02:08going early offensively, but their defense has been locked down.
02:12I think they're giving up on average maybe seven points, 7.3 per game in the second half
02:18is all.
02:19Their adjustments under Robert Livingston, their defensive coordinator, have been really
02:23good.
02:24And that Texas Tech game, they fell behind 13-0 in the first quarter and then outscored
02:29them 41-14 the rest of the way.
02:31So they've just made really good adjustments and they kind of settle in, you know, offensively
02:36and defensively.
02:37We've heard different players talk about how they kind of get through that feeling out
02:40period, those first 15 scripted plays, figure out, okay, this is what the opponent's doing.
02:45And then they adjust and they go from there.
