With Australia now looking to ban children under the age of 16 from all social media, we went out into Manchester to ask people on the street whether they thought it was a good idea.

00:08it now for under 16 year olds and we want to know whether people think it's a
00:12good idea. I think regulation would be the way to go forward with social media.
00:17It's pretty damaging a lot of the time because people are pretty screwed up I
00:22think from it and at a young age you really haven't got a clue yeah you're
00:26not really mature enough to know what the hell you're on about so yeah I think
00:32I'd be trying to just instill that it's not as important as people make out.
00:35We've not got children but we've got friends whose children are like 11, 12
00:40things like that and you see in the problems with social media you know
00:46they're arguing over social media the way it impacts how they want to look.
00:49It's life it's it's advancement you know and I think Australia is okay to ban it
00:55but how can they ban it? How can you really ban 16 year olds from being on social media?
