00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is confident that the victory of the upcoming US President-elect Donald Trump will be fruitful for the Philippines and the United States.
00:13He also believes that the relationship between the Philippines and the United States will remain strong.

00:24President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is positive that the relationship between the Philippines and the United States will remain strong in the victory of Donald Trump as President of the United States.
00:34In a statement, the President greeted Trump, as well as the Americans, for their success in a process that shows the world their values.
00:44The President hopes that the cooperation between Trump and the United States will be fruitful for the Philippines and the United States.
00:57The Chief Executive also hopes that this strong alliance will be a force for good and the path of progress and friendship in the Pacific region and other parts of it.
01:08The President also hopes that this strong alliance will be fully supported by the Philippines as it is based on the ideals of the United States and the Philippines, namely freedom and democracy.
01:20President R. Marcos Jr. is also confident that President-elect Trump will lead a better future for many countries, including the Philippines.
01:31Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin also believes that the United States and the Philippines will continue to maintain good relations under the leadership of President-elect Trump, especially since a strong alliance between the two countries is inevitable.
01:44The Philippines and America have shared history and we have this desire for peace in this region, so I think the commitments will be followed through.
01:57House Speaker Martin Romualdez is confident that a strong relationship between the two countries will not be severed following President-elect Trump's victory.
02:05He also believes that the relationship between the Philippines and the United States will not be broken when it comes to various issues.
02:11I believe that there will be a continuity of economic activity, investments, and in the case of security and defense arrangements, we'll be having as much if not more support.
02:26U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Mary Kay Carlson also promised that there will be no changes between the two countries, but she insisted that there are still many agendas under the leadership of U.S. President Joe Biden.
02:38We're very excited to renew our coordinates with the Trump administration, between President Trump and the Philippines.
02:48But also remember, in the United States, there's one president at a time.
02:52So until January 20th, we will be continuing to fulfill the Biden administration's agenda.
02:58We still have a lot on our plate, including some big visits and some important conferences coming up.
03:04So we look forward to finishing out strong and then starting out strong with the new administration.
03:09Donald Trump won the election as President of the United States after gaining 292 electoral votes and pledged to be a strong, safe, and prosperous America.
03:19In his 26-minute victory speech, he thanked his supporters and gave his platform, especially on immigration reform.
03:28He will also promote the America First ideology.
03:31Trump won more than 72 million votes, the most in the history of a presidential candidate.
03:37Trump served as the 45th U.S. President from 2017 to 2021 and was able to return to the White House after his re-election victory.
03:46Kamala Harris also formally conceded and thanked her supporters and recognized the election results.
