00:00At this point, let's talk about the programs of the current administration here in Mr. President on the Goal.
00:21First of all, fellow countrymen, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has given almost Php 110 million of assistance
00:31to the victims of Hurricane Christine in Batangas,
00:35including the Direct Assistance to Municipalities where six municipalities in Batangas
00:42have received Php 60 million from the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD.
00:50The six municipalities that were affected by Hurricane Christine
00:55are the towns of Agoncillo, Balete, Cuenca, Laurel, Lemery, and Talisay.
01:02Aside from that, the financial aid was also given to selected beneficiaries, farmers, and fishermen
01:09whose livelihoods were affected.
01:11This is also because of the effect of the hurricane on the sector of agriculture
01:16so for them to be able to start their livelihoods again,
01:20more than 4,000 selected beneficiaries were given Php 10,000 financial aid from Agoncillo, Laurel, and Talisay.
01:30Aside from that, there was also given housing assistance worth Php 6 million from the Metro Bank Foundation
01:40which will be distributed by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development
01:45for more than 500 beneficiaries from the towns of Agoncillo, Laurel, and Talisay.
01:52The government is also involved in the fight against the pandemic.
01:57So there was financial assistance up to housing assistance
02:01and the joint action of various government agencies.
02:05There was also support from the private sector.
02:07So the government continues to provide financial assistance to the private sector
02:14due to the effect of the hurricane.
