00:00The Philippine delegation achieved a historic milestone at the 21st China-ASEAN Expo in
00:06Nanning, China, securing $49 million in negotiated sales.
00:11According to the Department of Trade and Industry, or DTI, this is a significant increase from
00:16last year's $10.19 million and the highest in the country's history at this annual event.
00:22Organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, the Philippine
00:27Commodity Pavilion showcased top-selling items like durian, banana chips, and personal
00:33care products.
00:34Meanwhile, the Cordillera Administrative Region Exhibited featured a vibrant array of traditional
00:40hand-woven garments and accessories with products originating from Abra and the Mountain Province.
00:46The Philippine delegation, led by Philippine Ambassador to China Jaime Flor Cruz, included
00:51business and trade representatives who engaged in various trade and cultural activities to
00:57promote Philippine products and foster trade and cooperation between China and ASEAN member
01:04states.
01:05These are companies which include food sectors and non-food sectors.
01:13Some of these companies deliver or export food products such as banana chips, durian
01:19fruit, banana fruit.
01:21We also have alcoholic liquors.
01:24We hope to continue to come here every year and bring more products from our province
