00:00The police regional office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region reported no security threats during the
00:05ongoing filing of certificates of candidacy or COCs for the Bangsamoro parliamentary elections
00:11coinciding with the national midterm polls in May 2025. Based on Philippine News Agency's report,
00:18Brigadier General Romeo Macapas confirmed heightened security measures are in place
00:23at key locations including Kamalek offices with police managing crowd control
00:28and assisting candidates. The Kamalek is also accepting party lists and certificates of
00:33acceptance for regional parliamentary parties. The election will fill out 73 out of 80
00:39parliamentary seats following a Supreme Court ruling that separated Sulu from the Barm government,
00:45marking a significant step in Barm's political evolution.
00:49Elected representatives will take office on May 12, 2025.
