00:00The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOLCS stated that although
00:05Taal Volcano is still at alert level one, it remains abnormal. Based on PHIVOLCS records
00:11yesterday, the sulfur dioxide emitted by Taal slightly increased to 2,532 tons per day,
00:18but it is still low compared to emissions in previous months. Although no volcanic earthquakes
00:24were recorded overnight, PHIVOLCS warned that such events can be expected to recur in the
00:30next few days. Meanwhile, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has already alerted the government
00:37in case aid is needed. What we have to do is to monitor the situation and continue to see
00:44where are the areas, because not every situation is the same. So how do we adjust? Where are the
00:50areas that need special attention? Where are the areas that are okay? So that's what we're doing
00:58now. If necessary, we will have to move people out of the danger area like we always do.
01:03So that's what we are monitoring now.
