What are your reflections on the Autumn Budget? How will it impact you?
Transcript
00:00If you need to sort out the problems like the health service, like the lack of affordable housing, education, you need to spend money.
00:07If you need money, you need to increase taxes.
00:10And since the government is prioritising growth, the way to get growth is to stimulate demand in the economy.
00:18Not taxing people on lower incomes is a good thing.
00:21With the £4 billion increase on employers paying more tax, obviously that is more harsh on them,
00:26as that means we don't have to give harsher wages to other people, so it's just a knock on effect.
00:33It's good that the national minimum wage will be going up in April because obviously things cost too much for people
00:43and it's harder for people to afford everything on a daily basis.
00:49Maybe a bit more support on the basic things that we need, like food, electricity, basically the bills.
00:55Then maybe we can really, really feel the impact of all the things they're doing.
