00:00Sustainability is certainly one of the three pillars, it is not the only one, and this concept
00:12is very important when it comes to proximity transport, that is, connections with major
00:17and minor islands.
00:18We have the largest island population in Europe, in Italy, which must be served in
00:23respect of territorial quality, which is a principle also established by our Constitution.
00:28In Italy, there is the largest fleet of terraghetti in the world, it is a fleet that must be obviously
00:35initiated to the energy transition.
00:37There is the issue of which fuel will be chosen or selectable among the possible ones, because
00:44our ports are very close to the cities, almost always within the cities, and therefore
00:51synthetic fuels such as ammonia, methanol, not to mention hydrogen, it will be very difficult
00:58to be able to store them in the ports that are at the top of the proximity lines, and therefore
01:04we see gas as a possibility, but also all biocarburents, from biogas to biodiesel,
01:11which certainly have the ability to be put on board in ways that are compatible
01:17precisely with the proximity of the benches to the city, and consequently the need to harmonize
01:23this activity with the social content that surrounds our ports.
