00:00This is the type of indictment you would expect from someone in the mafia.
00:03I don't know that I could keep him off the stand.
00:05He is very eager to tell his story.
00:08They're going to show that video over and over and over
00:11about what happens to women that won't change their stories.
00:15His reputation is over.
00:17The United States government, they start making this case
00:20as a takedown of a successful black man.
00:24TMZ presents The Downfall of Diddy, The Indictment, now streaming on Tubi.
00:30Diddy and the place he now calls home, the detention center in Brooklyn.
00:36When he got sent there, his attorneys said something.
00:39They immediately objected because they said this is a dangerous place.
00:44It's extremely violent.
00:46Well, the feds seem to agree at this point because there is now an investigation
00:53into the Metropolitan Detention Center where he's being held.
00:57Not only an investigation, but federal agents went to the prison today
01:04and they are looking into a history of violence,
01:07as it was described by Diddy's attorneys and several other people
01:11in the government who had complaints about this place.
01:14And now, it seems they're trying to do something about it.
01:17You know what's odd about this?
01:19We've looked at this over the years.
01:22This isn't the first time people have made that claim about that facility.
01:26So it's interesting that it's almost like it's a revelation.
01:29I don't see how that's a revelation.
01:31That's been talked about for years.
01:34I agree with you completely.
01:34MDC Brooklyn is a notorious facility known for these safety issues
01:38and some of the living conditions.
01:40We've heard about it more with Diddy being there.
01:42He complained a little bit about the food, but this is really about safety.
01:44Last month, there were nine inmates who were
01:46charged with sort of violating sort of safety standards at the prison.
01:50They really need to address it.
01:51It looks like the feds are finally stepping up
01:53and having this interagency approach to make it better.
01:56So now the question is, what do they do with him while you await trial?
02:03And remember, he has an appeal that still has to be heard
02:07relating to his getting out on bail.
02:10That's going to be an uphill climb, let me tell you.
02:13But you're sure his attorneys are going to raise this as well, right?
02:18I know what you're saying, but it's not a situation where a judge is going to say,
02:22well, that facility is dangerous, so we'll let him out.
02:25I mean, that's an independent thing.
02:28They can always send him to another facility.
02:30But what they're going to have to show is he's not a flight risk.
02:33He's not witness tampering and all that.
02:36And it's hard to overturn the trial judge on something like that.
02:39But I don't know.
02:41Best case scenario for him is a trial in the spring,
02:43and it could well go beyond that.
02:45So I don't know what they're going to do with him.
02:48Do they keep him in that facility?
02:50Do they move him to another?
02:52Yeah, I think it's interesting.
02:53You're right.
02:53It won't come up as to whether or not he's a flight risk or he should be out
02:57because they could always transfer him to another facility.
02:59But what's going on doesn't seem to be...
03:01I don't think that'll impact what's going on with Diddy.
03:02And his family, for their part, seems to be trying to have a sense of normalcy.
03:06We've seen the kids out during homecoming.
03:08They're doing a lot of things that are trying to sort of not move on from Diddy.
03:12Obviously, that is a central concern for the family.
03:15But they're trying to have a normal life a little bit while this goes on.
03:18And to show that he didn't do anything wrong, so why would we hide?
03:21You saw Quincy and Christian.
03:24Justin were at their sister's homecoming.
03:27They were cheerleaders at the homecoming game.
03:29And so, yeah, for them, I think the kids have to project,
03:33we have nothing to hide.
03:35We didn't do anything wrong.
03:36We don't believe, as they've said, they don't believe their father's done anything wrong.
03:39So this is par for the course, I think, we're going to see from the family
03:43for the next several months before the trial.
03:47Brittany Dolly, Houston, Texas.
03:49And yeah, I think it's extremely important that our government is taking every single
03:53step possible to ensure that all the inmates, not just Diddy, but also Diddy, of course,
03:58and all the guards and the staff are safe.
