00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, confirmed a sufficient stockpile of
00:05family food packs, or FFPs, in Batanes in anticipation of Tropical Storm Leon.
00:11On October 23, almost 6,000 FFPs were loaded onto a Philippine Coast Guard ship and are expected to
00:18arrive between October 30 and 31. This will bring the total FFPs in Batanes to almost 8,000,
00:25including 1,658 already prepositioned across various municipalities. Water filtration kits
00:32have also been provided to Batanes to ensure access to potable water,
00:36especially for families affected by recent typhoons.
