00:15Ace, you know what our fellow countrymen here in Talisay, Batangas are saying?
00:22They have been living here for many years.
00:25This is the first time that they have experienced a landslide.
00:30They are used to the eruption of volcanoes,
00:33but they did not expect that a landslide would hit their town.
00:41The landslide in Baguio, Cristina, seems like a nightmare for the people of Talisay, Batangas.
00:47Because of the heavy rain, the landslide happened.
00:51The reason is so that the land can be covered with water,
00:55so that many people can live.
01:00In Barangay Hall of Barangay Sampaloc, 20 people have already been killed.
01:05Most of the victims are mothers, siblings, and relatives.
01:11All the children and wives of Reynaldo were killed.
01:15The youngest of his children is two years old.
01:19He is the only one left in his family.
01:23I remember the landslide.
01:25I did not see any house there.
01:28Only rocks, soil, and iron.
01:33That's all I saw.
01:35No house, not even one.
01:39He came from work, and when he came back,
01:42he did not expect that his whole family was gone.
01:47I force myself to be strong.
01:49I do not give up. I believe in God.
01:53I will never forget what happened.
01:59I do not know how long the landslide will last.
02:07Yesterday, the last missing person, a two-year-old girl, was found.
02:13Four of her children were also found dead.
02:18The Batangueños were shocked.
02:22Aside from Talisay, Batangas,
02:25three mothers were also found dead.
02:27They were buried in Quenca, Batangas.
02:30One of them was confirmed dead,
02:32and six others were found missing in Balete, Batangas.
02:37According to the Batangas PDRMO,
02:40more than 57 people were found dead in the province,

02:52Ace, you know,
02:53when you first entered the covered court of Barangay Zampaloc in Talisay, Batangas,
02:58you can already feel the pain of the families of the victims.
03:05The bodies of the victims are lying on the ground,
03:10and according to our conversations,
03:12this is like a bad dream for them.
03:16And until now, the land from the mountains can still be seen here on the road,
03:21even if it's just trees.
03:22And the local government of Talisay, Batangas,
03:27promises that they will respond to the burol until the bodies are buried.
03:31And they hope that on Wednesday, they will be buried together.
