00:00A resident in Talisay, Batangas shared the bitter experience of the landslide in Kasagsagan

00:07caused by Hurricane Christine.

00:10This is the center of the news, Noel Talacay.

00:14Rinaldo returned the sandals when he found his mother who was buried in a landslide.

00:22They were six people, including my wife, my eldest daughter, who is only seven years old.

00:31My youngest son is only two months old.

00:35I couldn't save them.

00:37I saw their faces were broken.

00:41Even our mother, when she was still alive, she had her child buried.

00:44That's what my mother looked like.

00:46She was like that to her child.

00:49Rinaldo was desperate.

00:50He just left to look for a job.

00:53But when he returned to a village, he lost his will to work.

00:59He lost his love for life,

01:01along with the loss of his life in the landslide.

01:05We lost our house because of the landslide.

01:07It's not in its place anymore.

01:08What's worse,

01:10a day passed before they were found.

01:14His wife, who is 35 years old,

01:17his eldest son, who is six years old,

01:21four daughters, who are six, four, and two years old,

01:27and his youngest son, who is only two months old.

01:31His grief is unbearable.

01:34Wherever they go, they know that we love them so much.

01:37Especially me.

01:39Especially me, I'm the only one.

01:40For my family, I'm the only one who's still looking for a job.

01:45They're still here with me.

01:47Rinaldo's mother,

01:49who is 18 years old,

01:51is from Barangay Sampaloc,

01:53the town of Talisay, Batangas.

01:55She was brought here by the landslide

01:58because of the rainy days.

02:02Rinaldo admitted that they became homeless.

02:05Because of the landslide,

02:10for the past few hundred years,

02:11I have never experienced something like that.

02:13Even that strong.

02:15He is now dead.

02:16He still has a problem with the expenses

02:19for the burial of his mother.

02:22He has nothing left.

02:24That's why he is appealing for help.
