00:05Denise Osorio is in the report. Denise?
00:08Yes, Diane. The water level of Marikina River has dropped to the first alarm.
00:14We are continuously monitoring the water level of this river here in Marikina Bridge.
00:19Even earlier, around 11 p.m., it rose to 16.8 meters.
00:25It's just one meter, 18 meters of water and it's already at a critical level.
00:29But the water level started to drop around 1 a.m. earlier.
00:34Diane, what the water level means is the depth of the water of the river.
00:38It needs to be monitored so that the affected people living near Marikina River can be evacuated immediately.
00:48This base is also common to know the possibility of flooding in many places in Metro Manila.
00:56As of now, Diane, the water level of Marikina River remains at 15.4 meters or first alarm
01:04and all gates are open, the status of Manggahan floodgates.
01:07The Barangay San Tonino Fire and Rescue Team also started to pour clean water around the floodwater
01:16to remove the mud and debris.
01:20Meanwhile, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council
01:25raised the heavy rainfall warning level in the National Capital Region
01:28and expected light to moderate rainfall with occasional heavy rains in Metro Manila.
