00:00It's almost time for the Manchester Christmas Markets.
00:02Hello and welcome to Manchester World.
00:04Now the purpose of this video is to give you all the information that you need ahead of this year's Manchester Christmas Markets.
00:09The markets are one of the highlights of Manchester's social calendar and are a must-visit,
00:13particularly if you've not made it along before.
00:15This year they're set to open on Friday the 8th of November and will be open for 7 weeks,
00:20closing on Sunday the 22nd of December.
00:22There will be over 200 stalls in operation with a wide range of foods, including sausages, Yorkshire pudding wraps and much more.
00:28Drinks, including mulled wine, hot cider, beer and merchandise from knitted goods to metalwork being available.
00:35The Winter Gardens area at Piccadilly Gardens is set to be expanded,
00:38meaning there'll be more sheltered areas for punters to sit,
00:41with the street food market remaining open until 9pm to allow people to eat later on in the day.

00:48but in essence the markets will be active in Piccadilly Gardens, Market Street, the Cathedral Gardens, St Anne's Square and Exchange Square.
00:53The markets will be open largely between 10am and 8pm, so there's plenty of time to visit each day and we hope to see you there!
