00:00Cagayan de Oro City's 2nd District Representative Rufus Rodriguez filed two measures to amend the country's espionage law.
00:08The measure seeks to impose a heavier penalty on espionage or spying, not just in times of war, but in times of peace as well.
00:16Meanwhile, House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo filed a resolution urging a probe on a corporation that allegedly violates the rights of a group of indigenous people in Agusan del Sur.
00:28The resolution urges the lower house to conduct an investigation in aid of legislation to further boost the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Act and the People Mining Act.
00:39For her part, House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar is pushing for a measure that seeks to provide better health care for Filipinos.
00:47The lawmaker says under House Bill No. 10934, PhilHealth will include benefit packages for mental health disorders in the services that the agency provides.
00:58She added once enacted, the said bill will help address the mental health crisis in the country.
