00:00Joe, we've been talking about next week overall quiet weather pattern.
00:04It really is.
00:05There's not any big storms per se.
00:07You've got the one in the northwest right now.
00:09That's going to go away.
00:10We are going to talk about another late week storm for the northwest.
00:12That's in the Friday to Saturday time frame.
00:14There's going to be a cool shot mid to late week from the northern plains to the northeast.
00:17But the headliner is this.
00:18It's dry for most of the nation.
00:20Unfortunately, it comes with an elevated fire risk.
00:23Here's the big picture.
00:24Kind of a flat jet stream flow.
00:26There'll be somewhat of a bulge here over the western states.
00:28And that's going to mean abnormal warm for you yet again from the western plains all
00:32the way back to the southwest.
00:34Keep an eye.
00:35Late in the week, there's going to be a dip in the jet stream in here, and that's going
00:37to be the system that we're going to have to be concerned about.
00:39But there'll be a cool shot here with this dip in the jet stream, warm and dry weather
00:42for the south.
00:43And unfortunately, that carries with it an elevated fire risk here in the Appalachians.
00:47A lot of debris left over from Hurricane Helene, and unfortunately, that's kind of like dry
00:52timber right now.
00:53So any kind of breeze would cause problems.
00:55And with that front coming through, these areas in here, I think, are at risk for elevated
00:59fire risk as that front goes on through.
01:01That's not great news, unfortunately, Joe, for places like North Dakota, who have such
01:05a historic fire season so far.
01:07Some of that will get kicked off by this front, as you mentioned.
01:10Yeah, we're going to see this front work its way southeast.
01:13For Tuesday, it's coming through the Dakotas and then works its way into the upper Midwest.
01:17Not a lot of moisture with it.
01:18Very spotty showers.
01:19But as it comes on through, there'll be a generation of wind with and behind the front.
01:23So that's why we're concerned about the elevated fire risk and definitely cooling down in
01:27the east by the time we get to the end of the week.
