00:00Well, looking at Everton and their new mega-stadium, obviously we've mentioned the progress and
00:05how quick they've shot it up and the fantastic infrastructure and the sort of jobs it'll
00:11bring to the area and how well it'll represent the city as well. Just give us a little update
00:19on it and how are fans feeling about the fact they are going to have to move home and Goodison's
00:24been there so, so long? It's quite a mixed bag, I'm guessing.
00:30It is, yeah. I mean, Goodison Park, it's a real historic stadium, isn't it? It's synonymous
00:36with Everton Football Club but I think supporters accept that change is needed and if Everton
00:42want to really kick on then they need to move with the times and that is at the new stadium
00:48at Bramley Moor Dock and it's coming towards the end now. Everton get the keys at the end
00:55of the year and we're seeing more updates as the days go by and all the big screens
01:00have been put up and fans are putting drone footage up and it does really look incredible.
01:08I think the challenge now for Everton, one will be securing stadium naming rights which
01:14the Chief Commercial Officer Richard Kenyon talked about in the matchday programme before
01:20the Palace game, he said Everton are in talks with several parties and that will be at least
01:28he says a 10-year deal they're looking for and it's interesting when it comes to this
01:32naming parties one because whoever gets those, let's be frank, you'll be calling the stadium
01:40that for years to come even after, say, the deal ends. That's what it's referred to often
01:46so Everton want to get that right, I think. Obviously, revenue-wise they need to get that
01:52right and it was interesting, I think it was last week, that Atletico Madrid have just
01:58announced a real bumper deal with Riyadh Air. Now, I'm not saying that Everton are in line
02:02to broker a deal with Saudi Arabia but I think that was worth between €250m and €300m
02:09so that's another barometer that Everton can use and supporters should find out this month
02:14about the season ticket plans, the migration plans. Of course, supporters want to secure
02:21the seat, they want to be around friends and family who they've sat with for years. Maybe
02:26some fans want to sit at a completely different area of the stadium and have a new vantage point
02:32but, yeah, keys are imminently going to be handed to Everton and then you're looking at
02:37test events etc and then all eyes will be on the 25-26 campaign buffet. The most important,
02:50the most salient point is that Everton are a Premier League club when they do go there because
02:55results are picked up before the international break but by no means are Everton very much
03:00clear of danger. They need to continue their upward trajectory and ensure that they go into
03:05the new stadium as a Premier League outfit.
