00:00Help is a key word, Joveneri, because in the last minute, huge, huge breaking news in the
00:10National Football League from NFL Network's Ian Rappaport.
00:14The Raiders are completing a trade of star wide receiver Devontae Adams to the Jets.
00:22Back with his old pal Aaron Rodgers as Las Vegas moves on.
00:27What the trade compensation is, that remains to be seen at this point.
00:32But the reunion of Aaron Rodgers and Devontae Adams seems to be taking place for the New
00:39York Jets.
00:41Wow, what a move, 2 and 4, sub 500.
00:46Jo, this Jets team cannot avoid headlines.
00:50If there is drama, if there is notoriety, if there is attention, it really circulates
00:56on one place, that is East Rutherford, New Jersey or Forum Park, New York, where the
01:02facility is located.
01:05What was rumored and perhaps speculated, but seemed as though it was a long shot of actually
01:11happening, Joe Douglas and the Jets get it done, bringing back Devontae Adams with his
01:17former quarterback in Green Bay, now both playing in New York.
01:22The Jets are trading with the Raiders for Devontae Adams.
01:26This news breaking in the last minute and a half.
01:31For a conditional third round pick, that's basically what the Raiders got in return,
01:38a conditional third round pick.
01:40They didn't have to give up Mike Williams, they didn't have to give up anything else,
01:44it looks like.
01:45A conditional third round pick for Devontae Adams, which makes sense why we're now also
01:50hearing in the last hour that the Jets have given Hassan Reddick's people now permission
01:56to seek a trade.
01:58Why?
01:59Because you got to inherit Devontae Adams' contract now, and when he reports, all of
02:04that money that they're going to work on is also going to be towards the cap here.
02:10All of it is starting to come together, but again, does Devontae Adams move the needle
02:15on our public question today?
02:18The answer is absolutely not, it doesn't.
02:21But the fact that they only had to give up a conditional third, that's impressive.
02:26That's crazy.
02:27Yeah, that's crazy.
02:28To only get a conditional third round pick back in Las Vegas, what are we doing over
02:33there, Tom Telesco?
02:34What are we doing over there with this Raiders franchise?
02:38But it does, of course, have all the focus on the New York Jets.
02:42Joe, it is almost a carbon copy of our Tuesday show to start off our third and final hour
02:47a week ago when we got the huge and stunning breaking news that Robert Sala had been fired
02:53by the New York Jets.
02:55This team is consistently all in, and they must be with a 48-year-old quarterback.
03:02But again, I'm not entirely sure the offensive skill players are the issue for this New York
03:08Jets team.
03:09Sure, it looks like a juggernaut right now to pair Devontae Adams alongside Garrett Wilson
03:15with Al Lazar now becoming your third wide receiver and the reemergence of Brees Hall
03:21as we saw a night ago against the Buffalo Bills.
03:26But Joe, you just said it right there.
03:28Would it change the public's perception?
03:30Probably.
03:31Will it make a difference in the long term?
03:34And by the long term, I mean this season.
03:37Again, the New York Jets are a two and four football team now favored to miss the postseason
03:42despite being a minus money favorite to see the playoffs before the year, trying to snap
03:47a 13-year playoff drought for this Jets franchise.
03:52Does the addition of Devontae Adams change that outlook at all?
03:58I don't see how, unless, of course, Devontae Adams is going to help them get less than
04:0311 penalties a game.
04:06He's going to stop the offensive linemen from holding and them shooting themselves in the
04:10foot.
04:11So if Devontae Adams is going to kick, maybe he's the answer.
04:15He can catch touchdowns and kick.
04:17I don't get it.
04:18I don't think the offense of weapons were an issue, but again, Aaron Rodgers wanted
04:24Devontae Adams.
04:25Devontae wanted Aaron Rodgers.
04:27All right, careful what you wish for, man.
04:30I quote, resent any accusation, end quote, that he was involved in the firing of Robert
04:40Sala.
04:42This is Aaron Rodgers saying on the Pat McAfee show, formerly of the Sports Grid Network
04:45last Wednesday, that he is not nearly as involved in any of these front office decisions as
04:51the public might think.
04:53Aaron, lying is fun.
04:55You are becoming a comic at this point.
04:58Aaron Rodgers runs the New York Jets.
05:02That's the nature of the game.
05:03Will it matter?
05:04We'll talk later.
