00:00Hello there, welcome to your Wednesday morning weather update from the Met Office. We've
00:04seen some wet weather overnight and warnings remain in force this morning. The one across
00:08the south-east of Northern Ireland expires soon but this one from Manchester down towards
00:12Plymouth covering much of Wales will continue until lunchtime. The winds are coming in from
00:18a mild direction, you'll notice the difference today as further spells of rain extend across
00:24the country. Thursday is looking like an improvement, some brighter weather around but still some
00:28showers lurking out there and then we look towards the west to see where our weather
00:31is coming from. Another batch of wet and windy weather arrives across Northern Ireland and
00:36Western Scotland through Friday. The air remains relatively mild through the day into the weekend.
00:43Now for the time being you can see where the wet weather is, central and southern parts
00:46of Scotland, Western Scotland clipping the east of Northern Ireland, sporadic bursts
00:50further south also across Northern England, the northern part of the Midlands, Midlands
00:55down towards the west country. Now towards the east we're seeing some dry skies, the
00:59air is mild, almost humid actually and some brighter skies trying to come through across
01:04the extreme east there, that's where we'll see the highest temperatures. Elsewhere, despite
01:09the fact there's a lot of rain around, all moving its way northwards, it is a mild day
01:14and it will feel a bit muggy under the cloud and the rain. And notice where these bright
01:18echoes are representing some heavier pulses of rain. Strong winds as well, especially
01:23across this eastern side of Scotland and later on we'll see the cloud thicken yet again
01:28across the west country as this first batch moves up across Scotland towards the northern
01:32isles. Towards the east, always a fair amount of cloud but the clouds were broken at times
01:37allowing for some brighter weather. But over the higher ground, murky conditions, lots
01:41of low cloud here. And towards the end of the day, further wet weather arrives across
01:46the west country towards the Midlands as well as pushing up yet again towards the eastern
01:50side of Northern Ireland, the far north-west of England. At the same time, the rain across
01:55Scotland continues its passage northwards. But look at these temperatures, 15 in the
01:59north, maybe 16, 17 probably for Northern Ireland, 18 for Wales, Northern England, down
02:04towards the south-east, 20 or 21. So well above average everywhere for this time of
02:09year. So as we head through Wednesday evening, still a keen breeze across more eastern areas.
02:14More wet weather extends right across England and Wales towards Northern Ireland and Scotland.
02:19The air remains very mild. And notice a clearance coming in across the west as on Thursday
02:24we'll see that rain clear towards the far north. So some brighter skies, still some
02:28showers though in the mix as temperatures arrive around 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. So
02:33another mild day, warm in any sunshine. Your outlook then through Friday. Winds will pick
02:38up, outbreaks of rain which could be heavy towards the west, some showers ahead of it,
02:42more cloud pushing down towards the south and then we'll see some brighter skies across
02:46central and southern parts of England and Wales. See you later.
