00:00So it's been a nervous wait for us in production this year with the wet start and further rain
00:12through the summer.
00:13I've been anxious to get out here and see how the maris has been performing and to check
00:18that it's in good condition.
00:19It's lovely to see these nice plump full grains, they're consistent, lovely and free from any
00:26pest or any fungal infection and they should perform consistently well through our brewing
00:31process delivering the excellent biscuit like flavour that we like in our base malt.
00:36For us as growers it's really nice going out and you have a pint of tribute and you think
00:40ah we're a little part of this.
00:43To stand in this barley field which is so close to the brewery for it then to be malted
00:53then come to the brewery, remember it's for us, it's for our beers and our specification,
00:59it's not for anyone else and that is a really special feeling which is why bringing the
01:03team out every year, you guys coming along, it's a really special day.
