00:00plenty of spots in the week six NFL Sunday slate where we saw a
00:07new quarterback take the reins. A couple of rookies, the third
00:11overall pick Drake May for the Patriots, the fifth round
00:14selection in New Orleans, Spencer Rattler, and then a
00:17second year pro once again starting for the Las Vegas
00:22Raiders. A common theme among all three three losses and in
00:26rather large fashion yesterday. Let's start in New England. The
00:30Patriots starting debut for Drake May. The Texans though go
00:36into Foxborough and win big. Forty-one, twenty-one as the
00:40odds makers expected. A six and a half point spread in favor of
00:43Houston. They easily cover. What the odds makers did not
00:47expect ERS. Sixty-two total points over a pregame number
00:51that was low at thirty-eight and a hook. The only knock
00:55against Houston this year off to a five and one start was the
00:59rather non-impressive way they were finding wins but they have
01:03covered in their last two. Now five, eight, and one against the
01:07number as the favored side with CJ Stroud. Joe Mixon returned
01:12for the first time since week two. Had 132 total yards, two
01:16total touchdowns. Okay, Houston goes into Foxborough. They get a
01:20win. That's what was expected. What did you make of start
01:24number one for the number three overall pick, Drake May? It was
01:28better than Jacoby Brissette and I guess that's a starting
01:31point that you can use. I don't know if he's ready to play NFL
01:33football. I know a lot of people, hey, let's give him his
01:35flowers. Now, I did have him in my, you sell me something
01:37yesterday. Throw at least one touchdown pass. He threw three
01:40but he still turned the football over three times which is what
01:42rookies do which is why his QBR rating was a thirty-one despite
01:45throwing for two forty, two forty-three and three
01:47touchdowns. He will get better but the interesting part around
01:50it is now that you're gonna get some film on what he likes to
01:52do and not do. That's gonna tell the tale over the next
01:55couple weeks and also, this is, we're not gonna miraculously
01:58get a superstar wide receiver and a super healthy running
02:01back and a great tight end back in the lineup here to sort of
02:04help the Wingo out. That's not going to happen. The one thing
02:06I did like the ability for him to throw, I enjoyed because
02:09Jacoby Brissette couldn't throw the football. Here might be the
02:12issue moving forward because we're looking at Drake May
02:15yesterday and said again, two forty-three and three scores.
02:17Hey, maybe the sky's the limit. You can freak out of it. Keep
02:20in mind, they were getting slaughtered this entire game.
02:23Defenses play differently here. Just looking to get out of town.
02:25It would have been interesting to me if maybe he threw that
02:27touchdown in the first quarter and made it a close game. That
02:30was fourteen seven at the break. Then, Houston pulled away.
02:32Every time they got a three touchdowns, you sort of see a
02:34touchdown pass here from Drake May. So, I think it's a good
02:37start for New England. Right. He did show me a little bit
02:40yesterday that he could function in the pocket with
02:42limited weapons. So, there's a start that I love it. No, but
02:45anything is better than Jacoby Brissette. So, the New England
02:48Patriots fans wake up, they're like, man, we're one and five,
02:50oh and three at home. Boy, we got smashed by three touchdowns
02:53yesterday but at least the kid can throw a forward pass. So,
02:56there's something.
