00:00Hello. Temperatures reached into the low 30s Sunday afternoon and over the coming couple
00:05of days those temperatures will be climbing even higher across many parts of the country.
00:11In fact we have a number of weather warnings in force at the moment covering much of England,
00:15Wales and parts of Scotland. Much of the country is covered under an amber for extreme heat
00:20but in that amber area we do have a red area for extreme heat as well so a very warm spell
00:25is on the way.
00:26But back to this evening so a largely dry and fine period overnight with a little bit
00:32more in the way of cloud across the very far north of Scotland. That cloud just thick enough
00:35to give some rain.
00:38Overnight temperatures staying in double figures right the way across the country in fact failing
00:42to actually drop much below 20 degrees across parts of England and Wales so a very warm
00:47and uncomfortable night to actually come here. A little bit cooler further north with temperatures
00:51dipping into the high teens. So a warm and dry and bright start to Monday morning and
00:59with plenty of strong sunshine that will really get to work on those temperatures and those
01:03temperatures will rise rapidly during the course of the morning into the afternoon reaching
01:08into the mid to high 30s across many parts of England and Wales. Even parts of Scotland
01:14and Northern Ireland temperatures rising into the high 20s and low 30s so a very warm and
01:20hot day to come for many of us.
01:22So Monday evening continues on that very dry and bright note although we are seeing a little
01:28bit more in the way of high level and medium cloud around so skies turn a little bit hazy
01:33at times. It's a very warm night as we go into Monday and Tuesday and those warm conditions
01:40continue into Tuesday if anything becoming even warmer with temperatures perhaps topping
01:4440 degrees on Tuesday for parts of the country. Though a change is coming down the line with
01:49fresher weather moving in from the west. Thank you for listening and please check our
01:54social media channels for the latest updates. Bye for now.
