00:05Quite a performance last night, Gabe. They pulled a Tigers and
00:08had eight relievers, eight count them. Uh Brazier, Banda,
00:14Copic, Vessia, Phillips, Hudson, Trinan, and Knack all go
00:19at least an inning and shut out the Padres at Petco and shut
00:24down that 47 thousand fans. You would uh thought you were at a
00:28Dave Roberts gets heavily criticized, but I think that
00:32might have been his best managerial performance ever uh
00:35as the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers. That's very
00:38difficult, Scott. When you pitch eight different pitchers,
00:41bullpen game. Now, listen, the offense helped out, right? So,
00:44they got the lead and they had to get the lead but you know,
00:47he pushed every right button. That's the one thing I don't
00:50like about bullpen games. Yeah, it's difficult for the other
00:53team because you've always got fresh pitchers throwing heat uh
00:56at them but at the same point in time, Scott, it's like
00:59sitting at a blackjack table and playing eight hands in a
01:02row and expecting to win every time, right? You're going to
01:05get a bad hand. Somebody's going to be off. One of the
01:07pitchers is going to get hit. Last night, it didn't happen.
01:10Gutsy performance and no, I'm not penciling anything in. We
01:14know how dangerous the San Diego team is. I am excited about the
01:18prospects of a Dodgers and Mets uh championship series. I'll
01:22tell you that uh but game fives man, anything can happen and
01:26I'll tell you what, home field doesn't mean anything in
01:28baseball and in fact, historically, in elimination
01:31games in major league baseball playoff history, the road teams
01:35are sixty-six and sixty-two. So, it's pretty much a toss up
01:39after all that. That's not a definitive trend uh right but
01:42it's a definitive trend and it you know, home field doesn't
01:45mean anything. It's a game whether it's played, you know,
01:48whatever stadium it's played in really won't have an effect. I
01:51don't think you're because it's in Dodger Stadium. They're
01:53going to win. They're going to win or lose because they pitch
01:55well and they hit but I think it's the best rivalry in
01:58baseball right now, Scott. Great, great stuff and I do find
02:01it a little bit comical of San Diego who talks so much smack
02:06who Manny Machado threw a freaking ball at Dave Roberts
02:09in the dugout and then, oh, San Diego are crying because Ken
02:14Rosenthal wrote uh there's something mean about them and
02:18you know, it's funny. San Diego said the Dodgers are too
02:20sensitive and now, there's the ones that ban Ken Rosenthal
02:25because Rosenthal, I don't know. He called a peacock or
02:28something like that in one of his columns but I tell you in
02:32the playoffs, Scott, you gotta dislike the other team, right?
02:36The players do, the cities do. It's a real rivalry but it's
02:41sort of like in hockey. You know what I mean? Like, you know,
02:42you're a penguin fan. You play a team. You don't really have
02:45any beef with in the playoffs like your good example is like
02:48the Canucks and Preds last year, Scott in the playoffs. I
02:51know beef with the National Predators. Why would I have a
02:53beef with the National Predators, right? So, they play
02:55the Canucks in the first round of the the playoffs last year.
02:58By game two, Scott, like I loathed them all. I was like, I
03:02hope this guy gets hit in the face with a puck. I hate this
03:05guy. I hate them all. I hate their fans. I hate the city. I
03:08hate country music and it took about two games to ramp up and
03:12I, you know, you know how I feel. I know you love San
03:14Diego. I love the city as well. I think they're awesome fans
03:17but right now, I hope the Dodgers just nail them once
03:20again and shut their **** up.
