00:00Hello everyone, I am Dr. Swati Chettangi, I serve as head of production at Advance Health
00:09Group.
00:10So if you are letting your child or toddler watch TV more than 4 hours in a day, so you
00:17are unknowingly exposing them towards virtual autism.
00:21Virtual autism is a very serious issue these days.
00:26So today I am going to simplify virtual autism, what it is and what is causing it.
00:33In today's world, virtual autism is a growing concern among kids and children who are under
00:40age 0 to 4 years.
00:43So they are, because they are exposed to screens more, like they are watching TV, playing with
00:50mobile phones, so these things are disrupting their brain growth and their behavioral development.
00:58So that's why we need to be concerned about virtual autism.
01:03Here is a good news, I am talking, today I am going to talk about what are the simple
01:08techniques that you can implement and prevent your child from virtual autism.
01:14So these days, children don't want just screen time and watching screens and all these things.
01:20They need touching, seeing, talking, all these things.
01:25These things develop their cognitive behavior and their brain, helps in their brain development.
01:32So here are some few tips which you can implement to prevent your child to going through this
01:38virtual autism or if you can reverse it also.
01:42So first point will be, you can limit their per day screen time to one hour, expose them
01:50to the real world, go outside your home and explore the world with them, be creative,
01:56be funny, be childish.
01:59And third point will be, talk to them, as much as you can talk to them, it will help
02:04them to develop their brain.
02:07So after implementing these simple techniques, you will see that your child is behaving properly.
02:15They will start making proper eye contact, they will start talking more and they will
02:22feel more connected to you.
02:24So these are the simple techniques by which you can reverse virtual autism or you can
02:30prevent if your child is not yet get exposed to these.
02:34So there are some, in this real time, in this today's world, you cannot prevent screen
02:41time completely.
02:42But what you need, you need to be smart.
02:45So limit the time of screen time to one hour and play with them.
02:52And these are the simple techniques that you can implement to your child.
02:58Screen aren't the enemy, but balance is the key.
03:01So you can limit the screen time and you can show your kids to more educational contents,
03:07writing, reading, all these things.
03:10And if they are watching TV, then it should be more learning videos or something like
03:17that, that can help their brain development and cognitive behavior.
03:22So by limiting these kind of screen time and over flashy shows or fast paced shows should
03:30be limited.
03:32So there is good news that you can simply reverse the virtual autism and help your kid.
