00:00And in a winner take all game number three last night in
00:07Milwaukee, the only wild card series we have seen so far in
00:11the expanded postseason since 2022 began Joe in October to
00:17reach a decisive winner take all game three. It lived up to
00:21the hype. It did not disappoint unless maybe you're a fan of
00:26the Brewers to nothing last night in the top of the ninth
00:29Milwaukee in front. The Mets offense stagnant only two base
00:33knocks the entirety of the game. It should have been over
00:36rather quickly. Devin Williams, the outstanding closer who only
00:40had one blown save the entirety of the season on the bump for
00:46the Brew crew. Francisco Lindor gets on. Brandon Nimmo moves
00:50Lindor over with a base knock. Runners on the corners for Pete
00:55Alonzo who before his at bat last night Joe dating back to
00:58the final week of the regular season was five for his last
01:02thirty-four slumping at the dish connects with one a laser
01:08over the right field wall. Would it carry? It did the New
01:12York Mets then played eight other courtesy of an RBI of
01:15Starling Marte and then Francisco Lindor turns an
01:18unassisted double play to shut the door on Milwaukee in the
01:22home half of the ninth. The Mets victorious in game three of
01:27its wild card set against the Milwaukee Brewers four to two
01:32coming from behind. They were the underdog in the game. They
01:36advanced to the NLDS to take on Philadelphia with that
01:40miraculous four two win last night in Milwaukee. It was
01:46really what playoff baseball is all about and we're starting to
01:48get a sense here when it comes to the New York Mets. Boy,
01:53they're just never really out of it, huh? I mean, that's now a
01:56couple of games here in which my goodness do not shut off a
02:01Mets playoff game in the eighth or ninth inning. Whatever you
02:04do, they have the flair for the dramatic. We've seen teams like
02:08this in the past and in postseason that ride that right
02:13through. I mean, baseball is a funny game and boy oh boy when
02:17you start getting into a situation like with what the
02:20Mets are where they're never out of the eighth or ninth.
02:23They always believe they can win boy. They can really parlay
02:27that into some postseason success and before we know it
02:31they're in they're fighting for a National League pennant and a
02:34shot at a World Series would not shock me because on paper
02:38there was no reason for them to win that game last night at all.
02:42The bullpen of Milwaukee was terrible in three games and it
02:46showed its ugly head with their with the best closer. I can
02:50argue in the National League going up against Alonzo who had
02:54been struggling all series long and you mentioned it going back
02:57even further than that and yet you fork it over and let him
03:02any other outcome other than a three run home run you can live
03:05with you can't live with a three run home run and that's
03:08exactly what they got.
