00:00Today, the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy for those who will run for the 2025 midterm elections has begun.

00:09Let's find out who are the early birds in filing their candidacy in the Central News of Bien Manalo Live.

00:19You're right Aljo, today is the first day of filing the Certificate of Candidacy for all those who want to run for the May 12, 2025 local and national elections.

00:34It's past 8 in the morning when the doors of Manila Hotel Tent City opened for the aspirants who will file their Certificate of Candidacy for the May 12, 2025 national and local elections.

00:48Early Bird is the former Agri-Partylist Representative, Wilbert Lee, who is running as a Senator.

00:54One of Lee's goals is to win the battle against poverty in the country.

01:01We started in the Congress, we want to continue in the Senate. We know that there are more things to do there.

01:10Our goal is to provide food for every Filipino family.

01:18We want to provide jobs for everyone.

01:25It's past 11 in the morning when the doors of Manila Hotel Tent City opened for the aspirants who will file their Certificate of Candidacy for the May 12, 2025 local and national elections.

01:47We'll try to harness the gains of the current administration relative to economic recovery and some focus on foreign relations and defense matters as well.

02:05So it's more of continuing what I've been doing right now as well as helping the current administration achieve its aims.

02:17We also saw some aspirants who filed their Certificate of Candidacy for the May 12, 2025 local and national elections.

02:24We also saw some party-list organizations who came to Manila Hotel Tent City to file their Certificate of Candidacy for the May 12, 2025 local and national elections.

02:3142 party-lists were removed from the list of Komelek because they did not get enough votes in the next two elections.

02:39In the whole country, 18,280 positions will be contested in the next elections.

02:46This includes senators, party-list representatives, members of Congress and local positions.

02:53The security inside Manila Hotel Tent City is tight.

02:58Up to five people are allowed in the maximum attendance inside the tent city.

03:03Five copies of the COC are required by those who ran and will go through the pre-evaluation stage.

03:10If everything is fine, Komelek will only accept one copy.

03:14Komelek insisted that they will not accept the incomplete COC.

03:19Aljo, we are still waiting here in Manila Hotel Tent City to see who will file their Certificate of Candidacy on the first day of filing the COC.
